CALIBRATION TERMINOLOGY
Reference Point - Fixed point of mark at or near the top of the tank. Strapping
sheet reference points are either at the top of dome rim or bottom of dome rim.
See each individual sheet for stated reference point.
Outage - Distance from the reference point to the surface of the liquid in a
tank.
Inage - Depth of liquid in a tank measured from the surface of the liquid to the
tank bottom.
